I want to tell you thank you for doing it. To be direct, I am so happy I lived to see that day. The successes you have are opening new doors for other people and whole industries to do things the world never thought possible. Even if your event didn't live up to your hopes, it sets a wonderful precedent. The next netcaster that comes up with some ambitious idea won't think his media is too small for something so big. From now on through the rest of history, people will say "24 hour live independent coverage via the internet? Yeah, I've heard of that, how can we push the envelope further?". Of course we wouldn't say last Thursday ranks next to Mr. Luther King's speech, but it would be on the same list.

Aside from the cultural event aspect, I personally enjoyed the coverage immensely.
- Ethan from Honolulu

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

you made it through! congrats....

another MASSIVE FAIL by att... but still a nice new apple product, heh.

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

I new that this time around was going to be more of the same. Huge line, no service, no inventory, horrible customer service, etc...AT&T couldn't get it right the first time, what makes you think they would get it right the second time around ? I think if you never had an iPhone maybe go through the trouble, but if you already have one, why go through the headache for another one. Makes no sense. Apple always launches news products with very low inventory to create excitement and demand. I did it once with the mini me, and never again. I can wait, if I really want an Apple Anything.

petes2cents.com

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

maybe when my current contract is up. price might be lower then.

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

And of course, I was on vacation at my grandparent's house with no connection. If you and your oh-so-funny friends on MacBreak had encouraged people to watch the videos instead of mocking poor Larry Meyer, people would have been prepared, ITunes servers wouldn't have crashed, the Internet wouldn't have been so slow yesterday, and perhaps, just maybe, we could have ended war and solved world hunger. But no. You had to play it for laughs. Who is laughing now?

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

I just wanted to say thank you Leo for that awesome 24 hr coverage of the iphone. The Honolulu store opens at 8am Hawaii time on Friday July 11th. 8am Hawaii time is 2pm East Coast time. You say above that you will continue until 11am East Coast time......that is 5am Hawaii time, the store will not be open yet in Hawaii!?!?!? I am a die hard and would love to be the last winner of the Iphone and will be there early, but just dont forget about us in Hawaii, finish off the '24 hours of Iphone' right! Thank You, love your work!

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

What number do we call in to try and win an iphone while on line?

Re: 24 Hours of iPhone

What number to we call waiting on line?
