My daughter moved out to start college -- at least she is only 50ish miles away and we can see her occasionally ;)

Hope Abby has a wonderful time in France!

Re: Abby Arrives In France

Such a wonderful opportunity for someone her age. She'll do great. I wish my son, Josh, could have done something like that.

Re: Abby Arrives In France

You're a braver man than me Leo. Maybe by the time my daughters get to Abby's age, it will be different, but I just couldn't let them out of my site let alone out of this country! I get notifications from the local sheriff's office of sex offenders that live within a mile of my address. It's unbelieveable how many there are.....and I'm in a decent neighborhood! How do you take your little princess from her world of make believe and everything's sweet and wonderful, to, honey, don't go near that house half a block away. Why daddy? That nice man waves to me. {{{{{{shudder}}}}}}

Re: Abby Arrives In France

Posting from iPhone. It'll all be good.

Re: Abby Arrives In France

I think she'll do just fine. Look at who her dad is. :-)

Re: Abby Arrives In France

Leo,
I'm glad she's safe and sound. As a parent myself, I completely understand how you and your wife must have felt letting her go.

Re: Abby Arrives In France

At least she can see you any time she wants on twit.tv.

Re: Abby Arrives In France

"Mom" looks like Veronica Belmont in a wig.

Re: Abby Arrives In France

Nice to hear she made it safe and sound.

Re: Abby Arrives In France

I studied French in high school and spent a summer studying in France during college, and it was one of the most memorable times of my life. I can't imagine spending nearly an entire year away from home at Abby's age, though technology can make the gap seem much smaller. Best wishes to you all, and I know you will be looking forward to visiting her in December...
